To become a certified welder in the province of Ontario, you must meet certain minimum requirements as stipulated by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). Specific requirements will depend on the type of welding certification that you are seeking and certification can only be obtained through a TSSA licensed employer. Individual requirements may also include high school or trade school graduation along with logging a minimum number of hours of on-the-job experience as an apprentice.
